CARDIOVASCULAR TECHNOLOGIST
Currently seeking a fulltime Cardiovascular Technologist in the Northeast Georgia area to service John’s Creek, Alpharetta, Cumming, Ellijay areas. Candidate must have the ability to perform echocardiograms and vascular ultrasound procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ability to load and unload, setup and breakdown equipment at clinical sites.
· Proficient in performing the following ultrasound procedures: Adult echocardiograms (ASE/ICAEL protocol); vascular such as carotid duplex, lower arterial and venous, renal artery, abdominal aorta.
· Explain ultrasound procedures to the patients.
· Ability to select the proper transducer and frequency to perform ultrasound exams.
· Adequately perform ultrasounds procedure in the required time period following appropriate company protocols.
· Evaluate images for quality and identify normal and abnormal anatomy.
· Be able to effectively and adequately communicate with reading physicians (Cardiologists and Radiologists), write ultrasound reports and submit studies by appropriate delivery method.
· Operate complex ultrasound equipment pertinent to the department needs.
· Maintain all ultrasound equipment in excellent operating condition.
· Be compliant with department policies, procedure, safety and environmental policies standards.
· Be able to complete all paperwork on a daily basis at clinic site.
· Maintain patient's confidentiality at all times and comply to HIPPA laws.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Effective written and oral communication skills and computer knowledge.
· Ability to be at clinical location 15 to 30 minutes prior to scheduled time.
· Maintain an effective level of communication and respect while displaying teamwork among pears and staff members at client's site.
· Maintain a respectable customer service.
· Ability to stand for long periods.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· ARDMS or CCI registered.
· Graduate from an accredited ultrasound school with either, AS, BS degree or certification in Cardiovascular ultrasound.
· A minimum of two years or more experience as a cardiovascular technologist.
· Completion of American Heart Association course: BLS, CPR or ACLS.
· Ability to work under pressure.
· Have a current valid driver's license in good standing.
ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST
